Leaning, crumbling or failing chimney tops taken down course by course and rebuilt with new brick, a proper crown and a cap.
Sometimes repair is not enough. When the top courses of a chimney are loose, when the mortar has failed through the whole depth of the wall or when a section leans, patching only buys a little time. A rebuild takes the damaged part down and builds it back strong, giving you a chimney that looks right and stands for decades.
We rebuild from the point where the masonry is still sound. The bricks are marked and taken down carefully, the flue tile and the surrounding structure are checked, and the chimney is laid back up with fresh mortar, new or reused brick and the right details. A new crown, a cap and new flashing finish the work, so the new top is protected from the first day.
We take the damage seriously but do not oversell. If repair will do, we say so. If the structure is failing, we explain why rebuilding is the honest answer.
Bricks are removed in order and kept if they are good enough to reuse. We protect the roof, the interior and the landscaping during the work.
New brick, new mortar and the original bond pattern make the rebuilt section blend with the rest of the chimney.
A rebuild is the ideal time to add a proper crown, a cap and new flashing, so everything is protected at once.

You tell us about the chimney, fireplace or stove and what you have noticed, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We look closely at the chimney, inside and out, ask how you use it and take photos of anything of note.
We explain what is urgent, what can wait and what is optional, and give you a written scope and options.
We lay drop cloths, seal the firebox and protect the roof and landscaping before any work begins.
We sweep, repair or install with the right tools and materials, checking our work as we go.
We clean up, show you what we did, share tips and set a reminder for your next visit.
Loose top courses, deep cracks, a lean and mortar that crumbles through the wall are signs. An inspection tells you.
Yes. Many rebuilds cover only the part above the roofline, and some go down to the roof or below.
Many take a few days to a week depending on height and weather.
We match color, size and texture as closely as possible and show you samples before we start.
If there is a safety concern, we will say so. Otherwise, plan on not using it during the work.
