Dated photos and a plain written description of chimney damage, ready for you to share with your insurance company.
After a storm, a fire or an accident, you need clear evidence of the damage. Insurers ask for photos, descriptions and repair scopes, and a clear package helps a claim move along. A chimney is hard to see from the ground, so many homeowners do not know the full extent of the damage until someone climbs up and takes a close look.
We inspect the chimney, take dated photos from the roof and inside the flue and write a plain description of what we found and what repairs are needed. We do not handle claims or speak for your insurer, since that is between you and your policy. What we provide is the documentation, written in a way an adjuster can follow.
Cracks, missing bricks, bent caps, damaged crowns and flashing, flue damage and signs of impact or heat, each with a clear photo.
A short report lists each problem, what caused it as far as we can tell and what repair is needed. It stays factual and avoids guesses.
If your insurer sends an adjuster, we can be present at the chimney to show them what we saw, when you ask us to.
If the chimney is open to the weather, we can cover it so further damage does not occur while the claim is under review.
