A new gas fireplace brings a clean-burning, controllable fire to rooms that never had a chimney, with direct venting or a retrofit flue.
A gas fireplace is the most flexible kind. Because many models vent straight through an outside wall with a short pipe, you can put one in a room that never had a chimney, including a bedroom, a basement or a modern open living space. They are tidy and easy to run, with a remote or a wall switch, a fire that you can turn up or down and no ash.
We plan the installation around the room. We choose a unit with you, decide where it will sit, frame and finish the surround and route the vent. The vent must be installed to the maker rules, with the right clearances and an outside termination. Gas piping and electrical work are done by the qualified trades, and we coordinate them so the project runs smoothly.
Direct vent units draw air from outside and exhaust outside, which is efficient and clean. Other types have different rules. We explain what works for your home.
A direct vent unit needs a path to an outside wall or roof. We look at your layout to find the best spot.
The fireplace needs a surround of non-combustible material and a mantel built to the clearances. Stone, tile and painted finishes all work.
Gas piping is run by qualified gas trades, and many units need an electrical outlet. We coordinate so everything is ready on schedule.
