Pellet stoves installed, serviced and cleaned so they feed, burn and vent as they should through the heating season.
A pellet stove burns small compressed pellets of wood in a controlled way. It feeds itself from a hopper, lights electronically and holds a steady temperature with a thermostat. That convenience comes with moving parts: an auger, fans, igniters, sensors and a vent pipe, and they all need attention to keep the stove running well.
We install pellet stoves with the correct vent pipe and clearances and service existing ones with a thorough cleaning and a check of the working parts. Ash and clinkers in the burn pot, a dusty exhaust fan or a worn gasket can make a stove struggle, so a yearly service, ideally before the heating season, keeps it dependable.
Pellet stoves vent through a small pipe that can go through a wall or the roof. It needs the right pipe and termination and must be sealed. We install both.
We clean the burn pot, heat exchanger, fans and vent, check the igniter and sensors and replace worn gaskets. A stove that is cleaned runs hotter and uses fewer pellets.
Stoves that will not light, shut off by themselves or fill with smoke are usually dirty or have a worn part. A service call finds the cause.
Good, dry pellets burn cleanly. We give tips on storing and choosing pellets so you get the best from your stove.
