Chimneys hit by wind, falling limbs or lightning are made safe quickly and rebuilt with matched materials.
Middle Tennessee gets its share of severe weather. High winds, falling branches, hail and lightning all find the tallest part of the house, and that is often the chimney. Damage can be easy to see, such as toppled bricks or a bent cap. It can also be hidden, like cracks in the flue or a loosened connection to the roof.
After a storm, safety is the first priority. We make the area safe, often with temporary covering, then assess the full damage, including what you cannot see from the ground. We rebuild with matched brick, fit new caps and flashing and document everything with photos, so you have what you need for your insurer.
A cracked or leaning chimney can drop bricks. We cover openings, brace unstable sections and take down what is unsafe.
Wind and impact can crack flue tiles and loosen the base. We check the whole system, including with a camera when needed.
Fallen sections are rebuilt with matched brick and mortar, a new crown and cap and fresh flashing where needed.
We take dated photos and write a plain description of the damage. We do not file claims, but we help you document them.
